I live in Centennial Hall. At first, I did not think I would like it. For one, it was not the dorm I was planning on having. I was actually told by a faculty member that my already chosen roommate and I were assured a dorm room at a different hall. However, that did not ever happen. My roommate and I decided to make the best of a bad situation. Until we found out we were not on the first or even second floor. Moving day was especially exhilarating let me tell you. Actually, I moved in the evening before everyone else. It was kind of weird, because the only other people on campus besides the Peer Assistants were athletes and they were gone at their practices. It was good for me though; that way I already felt the whole “on my own” emotion the first night away at college. Anyhow, since Nebraska Wesleyan University just loves stairs so much, moving got really old, really fast. I actually organized an assembly line of people so everyone, including me, would only have to have one flight of stairs to climb. After the numerous loads or personal items, I started to get settled in. Then it was dinner time so my parents took me out to Olive Garden for dinner. I got the Chicken Parmesan, just like always; it is my favorite. After we got done eating, we went and got a few essential groceries, basically just to get some milk. I love milk! I go through almost a whole gallon a week back home in the great city of Omaha. I actually have not been able to go back home yet to see my family and friends. I am looking forward to that. I am now extremely happy with where I live. Centennial is a nice residence hall; we are the only dorm that has pods. Pods are little living areas we all hang out in. It makes it more homey, because we all know each other a lot better now.
